Today, 25/9/2026, I was visiting Wharton State Forest near Shamong, NJ on Route 206, and I had lunch at a place that my parents talked about often: Pic-Lilly Inn, 866 US-206, Shamong, NJ (609-268-2066) in Burlington County.
I was about seven when my parents took my brothers and me there, but all I remember about that visit was my eating a sandwich and my parents telling me that this was a nice bar and not a dive.
Since then, I have seen it mentioned on TV, but until today, I haven’t been there. Anyway, I did go on the date above and I did see why they raved about their Buffalo chicken wings and crab soup! It was good. The bar looked fine and it was not a dive, and it was only a mile or less from Atsion Lake at Wharton State Forest—a place that I’ve swam in a few times.
There are many more items on the menu, and the prices are reasonable.
